30 new COVID-19 positive cases detected in Hailakandi; total count 749

July 20: 30 fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from South Assam’s Hailakandi district on Monday, taking the total tally to 749. Health authorities here disclosed that 30 COVID-19 positive cases were detected while 198 tested negative on Monday.

30 persons have been discharged from hospitals on being cured, taking the total number of persons released to 447. The number of active cases in the district is presently 300. Under the Rapid Antigen Test, 56 persons were detected COVID-19 positive, including 18 on Monday.

Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. 147 persons are under facility quarantine centres while 6,187 persons under home quarantine. Of the 13,027 swab samples taken, 10,954 turned out to be negative. Swab results of 501 persons are awaited.
