Silchar Assembly Youth Congress felicitates meritorious students

July 3: A special felicitation programme was organised by Silchar Assembly Youth Congress Committee. On Friday, star performers in High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC), Higher Secondary Final, Assam High Madrassa, specially-able student and poor but meritorious students were felicitated. It was a conglomeration of bright students who have performed well in the final examinations, the results for which were declared in the recent past.

Silchar Assembly Youth Congress Committee felicitated the following students:

• Anisha Roy: 8th in HSLC
• Parsha Tasneem: 10th in HSLC
• Binita Saha: 3rd in HS Commerce
• Sumita Roy: 8th in HS Commerce
• Aditya Dutta: 9th HS Commerce
• Mabrun Ahmed Talukdar: FM 1st position
• Rudrani Das: Specially-able student
• Dipankar Sutradhar: 79% in HSLC- poor but meritorious (Flower seller)
•  Rahul Biswas: 74% in HSLC-poor but meritorious (Newspaper hawker)
• Nur Ahmed Mazarbhuiyan: 4th in Assam High Madrasa Final

The felicitation programme was graced by former MP and President of All India Mohila Congress, Sushmita Dev. She along with other dignitaries handed over the mementos to the students. Congratulating the students for their brilliant performance, Sushmita Dev said, “It’s indeed a privelege for me to be with bright performers like you. I wish you do much better in your future strides. But remember the soil which have nurtured you. Once you rise in life, do work for the place where you were born and brought up.”

Apart from Sushmita Dev, the occasion was also graced by Partha Ranjan Chakraborty, Babul Hore, Kushal Dutta, Sanjeev Roy, Rajesh Deb among others.
