Dr. Orina Raha of the Department of Forensic Medicine at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) was found positive on Wednesday.

Infact, the swab sample of Dr. Raha was taken as part of ‘Assam Targeted Surveillance Programme’ (ATSP). Dr. Orina Raha on Wednesday morning drove to SMCH. It was after that her test report came to surface. Sources in the district health department revealed that she will undergo treatment at the COVID-19 ward of SMCH. Her driver was subsequently isolated for safety reasons. What worried the health department is that Dr. Raha does not have any travel history.

Meanwhile, after Supriti Paul tested positive, swab samples of the 4 family members of her house were also collected by the health department and her house was declared as a containment zone. The health department will also trace those who came in contact with this lady.
