MOA signed between Airport Authority of India & Cachar District Administration

July 1: A memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed between Deputy Commissioner, Keerthi Jalli and Airport Director, Pradip Kumar Gorai at the conference hall of the office of the Deputy Ccommissioner cachar on Wednesday in connection with “providing financial assistance for procurement of ambulance for Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Silchar amounting to Rs 13,09,724.

It is pertinent to mention here that the corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy is authorised to support such initiatives for promoting infrastructure for convenience of population with a view to improve the health infrastructure scenario of the locality under corporate social responsibility. In this regard, Airport Authority of India will support the Project by providing financial assistance under its CSR initiative for amount of Rs. 13,09,724 for the work “providing financial assistance for procurement of ambulance for Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Silchar.

This project is aimed to provide an ambulance for Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre for the greater interest of public, as the hospital management committee is facing great hardship due to non-availability of good and functional ambulance.

Sharing her views over the agreement with the airport authority, Keerthi Jalli said that she is hopeful that the initiative would be beneficial for the people of the area. She further expressed her thanks to the airport authority for its help to the Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre. Officials from the Airport Authority of India, Dr Ravi Kumar Kannan from Cachar Cancel Hospital & Research Center, planning officer and nodal officer (CSR) ,Ruli Doulagaphu were also present on the occasion.
