Assam Police collects ₹ 3,32,75,150 for violation of COVID-19 norms

June 4: The outbreak of coronavirus pandemic saw various advisories issued by the government from time to time. Certain prohibitions like ban on pillion riding were also imposed by the state government. Moreover, wearing of mask and maintenance of social distancing has also been made mandatory. However, inspite of this, many people are seen to violate the pandemic rules. Assam Police has also taken strict note against pandamic violators. As on 4 June, 2000, Assam Police has initiated the following actions in this regard:

✔️Rs. 39,73,100 collected as fines for not wearing a Mask

✔️3261 incidents of violation

✔️2759 cases registered

✔️4614 people arrested

✔️30884 vehicles detained

✔️34 boats detained

✔️Rs. 3,32,75,150 collected as violation fines
