Announcement for Lockdown 4.0 will be made before May 18: PM Modi

May 12: During his address to the nation, though Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not spell out the details, yet he announced that Lockdown 4.0 will have a new form and new rules. “The fourth phase of lockdown, Lockdown 4.0, will have a new face and new rules. We have been getting inputs from the states; on the basis of those inputs, details regarding Lockdown 4.0 will be shared with you before May18,” said the Prime Minister. Lockdown 3.0 officially ends this Sunday.

The PM asked the Chief Ministers to sit with their teams and decide which areas they wanted to keep under a lockdown by May 15. The PM added that the Centre would then chart out a course after May 17.
