COVID-19: DC Cachar holds review meeting with health officials

May 12: With a view to review the recent situation of COVID-19, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli held a meeting with the Health officials of Cachar District on Tuesday at the Conference Hall, Deputy Commissioner office in presence of Sumit Sattawan, ADC, Dr. Sudip Jyoti Das, Joint Director of Health Services and various other officials of the Health Department.

DC Jalli reviewed the preparedness and various activities related to COVID-19. She emphasized on strengthening the COVID care centres at block level. Further, she also stressed on vigilant supervision of the surveillance activities at village level. Deputy Commissioner urged upon the officials to work an extra mile to protect the society from this pandemic.

Later on, she held another meeting where besides the Health Department Officials, the DEEO, DSWO, Asst. Labour Commissioner, District Veterinary Officer, Officials of PHED and Irrigation were also present. In this meeting, Deputy Commissioner explained the responsibility of various departments to stop the spread of Japanese encephalitis, dengue and other vector borne diseases.
