Are public gatherings allowed during Lockdown 3.0?

May 4: The third phase of nationwide lockdown began on 4 May and will continue till 17 May. However, based on green, orange and red zones restrictions were categorised. Green zones witnessed the easing of restrictions to a large extent. However, any kind of social, political, religious, cultural or other gatherings are not allowed and no organisation is to allow gathering of 5 or more persons. For marriage ceremonies, guests should not exceed 50 and not more than 20 persons are allowed for funeral rituals as per directions from MHA. Further, places of large public gatherings such as cinema halls, malls, gyms, sports complexes etc will remain closed throughout the country.

Wearing of face masks is compulsory in public places and people must follow social diatancing norms at all times. Spitting in public places is punishable and consumption of liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc. is prohibited in public places.
