All students of HS 1st year promoted to HS 2nd year: AHSEC

April 22: Amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the entire country is passing through a phase of lockdown. Taking this into consideration, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has decided to promote the students of the Higher Secondary First Year Class of the academic session 2019 — 2020 (who had filled up online forms) to the Higher Secondary Second Year Class of the academic session 2020 — 2021 as a very special case for this year.

The Higher Secondary First Year Examination-2020 to be held on and from the 25th of March, 2020 to the 10th of April, 2020 could not be held due to outbreak of Covid 19 all over the world. The Principals of all the Institutions were also requested to take necessary action accordingly. A notification in this regard was issued by Pankaj Borthakur, Controller of Examinations of AHSEC on 22 April, 2020.
