Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum donates ₹25,000 to Assam Arogya Nidhi Fund
April 20: Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum (BVVBDF) has come forward and donated an amount of Rs. 25,000 towards Assam Arogya Nidhi Fund. On Monday, the members of BVVBDF handed over the cheque to Deputy Commissioner, Barnali Sharma.
The Forum was represented by Karunamoy Paul, Secretary, BVVBDF, Central Committee, Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta, Secretary. BVVBDF, Cachar District Committee and Dr. Manoj Kumar Paul, President, BVVBDF, Cachar District Committee.
BVVBDF has been regularly working to meet up the blood crisis caused during the nationwide lockdown. They are arranging regular blood donation camps maintaining the norms of social distancing with the cooperation of district administration. At this hour of crisis, the Forum at the initial stages of the coronavirus pandemic has also distributed leaflets in order to make the people aware about the various aspects of COVID-19.
Speaking to way2barak, Dr. Manoj Kumar Paul, President, BVVBDF, Cachar District Committee said, “Today on behalf of the Forum, we have handed over a cheque of Rs.25,000 to the Deputy Commissioner. Small drops of water makes an ocean. So we hope that this amount will definitely help the government to extend their help to the people of the state in offering help in multifarious ways in the battle against coronavirus.”
