Silchar based startup Aranyak Valley builds “TaraTari” App to help COVID warrior volunteers
April 20: Lockdown has indeed brought forth many hidden talents among the people. One such endeavour which came to light is a mobile application built to help COVID-19 warrior volunteers. Four enterprising youths of Silchar joined together to design the app, named, ‘Taratari’, which in English means ‘quickly.’
“TaraTari” is a Silchar/ Cachar based local App developed by a group of volunteers powered by Silchar based Startup ‘Aranyak Valley’ to help fight the pandemic Coronavirus. Meanwhile, the App has been specifically designed to address out the needs of the people of Barak Valley. It helps to coordinate the volunteers engaged in fighting Coronavirus, assemble via one single app, under one umbrella, to help track the efforts in a very organized manner.
The app very quickly and easily lets such volunteering local teams to generate, crowdfund, source, monitor and manage thousands of relief packets every day in different parts of Cachar, while keeping District Administration in loop for the daily passes. It is available for FREE, as an aid to the local COVID relief volunteers who can register and use.
Reportedly, it was a “live validation opportunity” for the students and faculty of Aranyak®Valley, to test their knowledge and provide instant solution to a regional problem. What makes it more interesting is the fact that there was no physical interaction between the developing team members while creating this. The COVID-19 situation forced them to interact virtually from their respective villages with unsteady power and no broadband availability, and yet, come out as a winner in a record time of 7 days.
The persons behind this unique initiative are Gaurav Chakraborty, Sanjit Singh, Sujoy Deb, and Arijit Goswami. Speaking to way2barak, the developers of the app said, “We appreciate the initiative of those who have come forward to help people during the coronavirus pandemic. We have developed the ‘Taratari’ App to help these volunteers who are delivering relief materials. They can also get in touch with the developers if they find difficulty in registering themselves.” They added that the ‘Taratari’ App will be available in Google Playstore this week.
