Inner Wheel Club, Silchar helps orphan girl financially in her marriageদুঃস্থ তরুণীর বিয়েতে অর্থ সাহায্য ইনার হুইলের
February 28: Keeping up with its tradition of helping people in different way, Inner Wheel Club (IWC), Silchar again came up with an unique endeavour to settle the life of two youth. The members of Inner Wheel Club, Silchar took responsibility to meet the expenses of the marriage of a poor orphan girl, who also has got some eye related disease. IWC has also assured the orphan girl of assisting her financially in treatment of her eyes.
On Wednesday, Bikram Dube, aged 24 years, who works as a caretaker in the house of one Bappa Paul and Anjana Saha Paul at Silchar tied the knot with Sushmita Dube (19), an orphan girl of Moinar Khal area of Cachar. The groom Bikram hails from Silkuri. Their marriage was solemnised in a temple at Sildhubi.
A major part of the expenses incurred in their marriage was borne by Inner Wheel Club, Silchar. Also, a fixed deposit amount of Rs.10,000 was also given to the bride by IWC. The bride, Sushmita Dube who has some problems in her eyes was assured by Inner Wheel Club, Silchar to help her to get her eyes treated at some good hospital.
Speaking to way2barak, Jhumki Saha, President of Inner Wheel Club, Silchar said, “When we came to know of this marriage, we thought a little out of the box and decided to be a catalyst in their marriage ceremony. Though some more well wishers of the newly married couple helped them financially, but it was our Club which shouldered the major financial responsibility of the marriage of the orphan girl. We wish them a happy married life.”
Present during this marriage ceremony on behalf of Inner Wheel Club, Silchar were its District Chairman Sumita Som, President Jhumki Saha, Minu Choudhury, Madhuparna Basak, Moutushi Roy, Mohul Mitra, Dipta Saha Paul, Sagarika Das, Indrani Deb Bhattacharjee and Moumita Gupta.
