A high level team inspects 3 bridges without approach over Barak

January 31: On the basis of a review meeting held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner on Thursday, a high level team visited three areas where bridges over river Barak were built sometime ago, but the approach to the bridges were yet to be completed.

The team comprising of Deputy Commissioner Barnali Sarma, Deputy Speaker Aminul Haque Laskar, MLA Borkhola Kishore Nath, MLA Udarbond Mihir Kanti Shome along with PWD officials visited the sites and took stock of the situation. They inspected the bridges over river Barak river at Karatigram Madhuramukh, Badrighat and Dungripar.

It needs mention here that a review meeting was held at Cachar DC office on Thursday on the present status of three major incomplete bridges in Badripar, Karatigram and Dungripar areas. Them meeting was chaired by MP Rajdeep Roy in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Cachar and other MLAs of the district. It was decided in the said meeting that a team shall inspect the 3 bridges and submit a report at the earliest.
