3 state-level NSS convention- one each in Upper Assam, Lower Assam and Barak Valley to be held

November 25: Very soon, 3 state-level National Service Scheme (NSS) convention- one each in Upper Assam, Lower Assam and Barak Valley will be held as per the direction of Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. He hold that such type of endeavour would bring the NSS motto close to the heart of the youth of the state. Chairing an NSS meeting in Guwahati on Monday the CM said this will help the students to inculcate the sense of national service and participation.

The Chief Minister also asked the universities in Assam to incorporate National Service Scheme (NSS) in their curriculum. He also observed that incorporating NSS in the university curriculum would give its programme a student-centric approach as they would be able to learn or acquire NSS traits on the sidelines of higher education.
