Ayodhya land dispute: SC to start hearing from 25 July, if mediation fails

July 11: The Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute issue is again in the news. On Thursday, the Supreme Court of India asked Justice FMI Kalifullah, who heads the mediation panel of the Ayodhya land dispute to submit before it the status report by 18 July. While airing its decision, the apex court stated that once the report is submitted before it, only then the top court will decide the future case of action.

If in case the report prepared by Ayodhya land dispute panel gives any such indication that the mediation should come to an end, then the apex court shall start hearing the appeals from 25 July. The panel headed by Justice FMI Kalifullah, also has in it Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Sriram Panchu. The matter was heard by a bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi on 11 July, 2019.
