৫ জুনঃ সর্বভারতীয় মহিলা কংগ্রেসের সভানেত্রী সুস্মিতা দেবের ডিপি-তে এখন আর রাহুল গান্ধীর মুখ দেখা যায় না। সেখানে জায়গা নিয়েছেন মহাত্মা গান্ধী। তাঁর হোয়াটস অ্যাপ কি ট্যুইটার সর্বত্র এখন গান্ধীজির ছবি। এ কি দল হেরে যাওয়ায়?

শিলচর আসনে পরাস্ত কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী সুস্মিতা দেবের ভিন্ন ব্যাখ্যা। তিনি বলেন, সাধ্বী প্রজ্ঞা নাথুরাম গডসের প্রশংসা করার পরই দল গান্ধীজি-র মুখ সকলের ডিপি-তে যুক্ত করতে নির্দেশ দেয়। তখনই তিনি রাহুল গান্ধীকে সরিয়ে দেন। সে জায়গায় ব্যবহার করছেন মহাত্মী গান্ধীর ছবি। কিন্তু খোদ রাহুল গান্ধীর ট্যুইটারে যে গান্ধীজি নেই! রয়েছে তাঁর নিজের মুখ! জবাব এড়িয়ে গেলেন সুস্মিতা।

তবে তিনি এ কথা শুনিয়ে রাখেন, ‘রাহুল গান্ধীই আমার নেতা। তিনি সভাপতি পদে থাকবেন না বলে শনিবার ওয়ার্কিং কমিটির বৈঠকে নানা যুক্তি দেখিয়েছেন। সেগুলি কাটার মতো উপায় নেই। তাই নীরব থেকে তাঁর ভাবনাকে সমর্থন করেছি।’ এর পরও সুস্মিতা মনে করেন, সভাপতি না থাকলেও দলকে চাঙ্গা করে তোলার জন্য রাহুল গান্ধীকেই মুখ্য ভূমিকা নিতে হবে।

The face of party President Rahul Gandhi has been changed from from the DP of Miss Dev. In all her social media accounts, whether it is twitter or whatsapp, Sushmita has changed the picture of Rahul Gandhi with Mahatma Gandhi.

Is this sudden change in her DP linked with the defeat of her party in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls? However, Sushmita Dev, who lost to Dr. Rajdeep Roy of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has got a different explanation. She said that after Sadhvi Pragya praised Nathuram Godse, her party has party instructed all to add the face of Mahatma Gandhi in the dp of all party members.It is after that she had removed the face of Rahul Gandhi and put in the picture of the Mahatma.

But surprisingly, in the tweeter account of Rahul Gandhi, one can still now find the Display Picture of Rahul himself. There is no trace of Mahatma Gandhi in the DP of the Congress President himself. Sushmita avoided this question. However, she was quick to respond, “Rahul Gandhi is my leader. He put forward many arguments in order to quit from the post of party President. His arguments were logical and so I failed to offer counter argument. So I preferred to remain quite and support his feelings.” After everything, Sushmita Dev feels that even if Rahul Gandhi steps down from the post of the party President, yet he will have to play a vital role in infusing life in the party.
