CM visits science exhibition at Silchar Police Parade Ground

June 4: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a Science Exhibition was organized among the school students by Cachar District Administration. On Wednesday, the students of various schools prepared models of various kinds and exhibited at the stalls set for them at the Police Parade Ground. The students were happy to find a very special visitor, the Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Laya Madduri-Deputy Commissioner Cachar, State Forest & Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, newly elected MP from Silchar Dr. Rajdeep Roy among others. Sarbananda Sonowal interacted with the students.The students too were very enthusiastic and explained the science models made by them to the dignitaries.

Later on speaking during the event, the Chief Minister also lauded the students and emphasised on the importance of Science Exhibitions. He said, “The science exhibition is an important factor to motivate the students toward science. Such exhibition contributes their social development. It also increases the skills of the students and develops scientific temper.
