BTC Deputy Speaker Bijit Gwra Narzary found dead at residence

way2barak, Aug 28: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Deputy Speaker Bijit Gwra Narzary was found dead at his residence in Kumarikata in Assam’s Tamulpur district on Wednesday evening.

Narzary, a BJP leader representing the Darrangajuli constituency in the BTC, was found at his residence, police said. The circumstances surrounding his death are being ascertained.

BTC chief and Bodoland People’s Party president Hagrama Mohilary expressed grief over Narzary’s sudden death.

In a condolence message, Mohilary described the BJP leader’s death as an irreparable loss to the community and public life. He extended condolences to Narzary’s family, friends, colleagues and supporters.

Former BTC chief and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod Boro also condoled Narzary’s death.

Boro expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed leader’s soul, wishing strength to his family and others affected by the loss.
