বড়খলা থানার সুভং বাউনডারী বস্তিতে স্ত্রীকে হত্যা করে দুই সন্তানকে নিয়ে পলাতক ঘাতক স্বামী। সোমবার রাত সাড়ে ১০ টা নাগাদ ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে। মৃতের নাম তারামনি ভক্তা (২৬)। জানা গেছে, মৃতের স্বামী সোমবার রাত আনুমানিক ১০টা নাগাদ স্ত্রীকে প্রথমে মারপিট করে শ্বাসরোধ করে হত্যা করে। এরপর রাতেই ১ ছেলে ও ১ মেয়েকে নিয়ে গা ঢাকা দেয়। তারামনির স্বামী লক্ষীরাম ভক্তা (৩০)বাড়ি থেকে পালানোর সময় নিকট আত্মীয়কে তার স্ত্রী খুব অসুস্থ হওয়ার কথা বলে। এমনকি তাকে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে জানিয়ে কিছু অর্থ ঋণ নেয়। যাবার সময় বলে যায়, বাড়িতে দুটি সন্তান রয়েছে, তারা যেন ওদের দেখাশোনা করেন। তার কথা বিশ্বাস করে আত্মীয়রা এসে দেখেন তারামনির মৃতদেহ বাড়িতে পড়ে রয়েছে। তাদের ধারণা, তারামনিকে শাড়ি দিয়ে শ্বাসরুদ্ধ করে হত্যা করা হয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার ঘটনার খবর পেয়ে বড়খলা থানার ওসি রৌশন ইসলামের নেতৃত্বে এসআই নীলকান্ত দেব ঘটনাস্থলে ছুটে যান। ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট বি ঠাকুরীয়ার উপস্থিতিতে পুলিশ মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য মর্গে পাঠায়। পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায় মৃতের দেহে আঘাত রয়েছে। একটি ব্যাঙ্ক পাসবুক মৃতদেহের পাশ থেকে পুলিশ উদ্ধার করেছে। এক সূত্রে জানা গেছে, তারামনির গর্ভে ৮ মাসের সন্তান রয়েছে। মৃত্যুর পেছনে অন্য কোনও কারণ রয়েছে কি না পুলিশি তদন্তে বের হবে।

After murdering his wife, the husband eloped with his two children at Subhang Boundary village under Borkhola police station. The deceased Taramani Bhakta (26 years) has been allegedly killed by her wife at around 10.30 PM on Monday by her husband. It has been learnt that at around 10 PM the man after physically assaulting his wife strangulated her to death. After killing his wife, the man eloped with two of his children.

Taramani’s husband Lakshiram Bhakta (30 years) before eloping went to the house of one of his close relatives and told them that his wife was severely ill. He even borrowed some money from them on the pretext of taking his wife to hospital for treatment. He further asked them to take care of his 2 children who were left by him at home. However, on reaching his home, his relatives saw the dead body of Taramani. They have expressed the doubt that Taramani has been strangulated to death by her husband using a saree.

On getting the information, police forces from Borkhola led by Roushan Islam & Nilkanta Deb reached the spot. In the presence of Magistrate B.Thakuria, police recovered the dead body and sent it for autopsy. Police sources have revealed that there are injury marks on the dead body. Police has also recovered a Bank passbook which was lying near the dead body. Another source has revealed that the deceased Taramani was 9 months pregnant. The police were ascertaining all possible angles leader to the murder.
