Assam University Pays Tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on Parakram Diwas
পরাক্রম দিবসে সুভাষ চন্দ্র বসুকে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৩ জানুয়ারি : নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসুর ১২৯তম জন্মবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে সারা দেশের সঙ্গে শুক্রবার আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়েও পালিত হল পরাক্রম দিবস। এদিন সকালে নেতাজির প্রতিমূর্তিতে মাল্যদান ও পুষ্পার্ঘ্য অর্পণের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা করেন উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ। শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য নিবেদন করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষাকর্মী-শিক্ষার্থীরাও। অংশ নেয় কেন্দ্রীয় বিদ্যালয়ের পড়ুয়ারাও।

এ উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক পন্থ নেতাজির অদম্য সাহস ও দেশপ্রেমের কথা স্মরণ করেন। তিনি বলেন, নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসু আজও দেশবাসীর কাছে এক চিরন্তন প্রেরণার উৎস। তাঁর অটল সাহস ও দেশসেবার প্রতি নিষ্ঠাই জাতির অগ্রগতির মূল শক্তি।

অনুষ্ঠানে নেতাজির জীবন ও সংগ্রামের ওপর আলোকপাত করে বক্তব্য রাখেন কেন্দ্রীয় বিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যক্ষ ড. আর পি সিং, ছাত্রকল্যাণ ডিন অধ্যাপক অনুপ কুমার দে, এনএসএসের প্রোগ্রাম কো-অর্ডিনেটর অধ্যাপক এম গঙ্গাভূষণ, অধ্যাপক কৃষ্ণ মোহন ঝা, ড. জাওয়েদ রহমানি প্রমুখ। তাঁদের আলোচনায় নেতাজির নেতৃত্বগুণ, ত্যাগ ও সমসাময়িক ভারতে তাঁর আদর্শের প্রাসঙ্গিকতা বিশেষভাবে উঠে আসে।

এই শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি অনুষ্ঠানে সঙ্গীত পরিবেশন করে আরও প্রাণবন্ত করে তোলেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পারফর্মিং আর্টস বিভাগের ছাত্রছাত্রীরা। তাঁদের আবেগঘন পরিবেশনা উপস্থিত সকলের মনে গভীর প্রভাব ফেলে।

Way2barak, January 23 : Assam University observed Parakram Diwas on Friday in solidarity with the rest of the nation, marking the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The commemoration was held with solemnity and reverence on the university campus.

The programme began in the morning with the offering of floral tributes at the statue of Netaji, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, students of the university, and pupils from Kendriya Vidyalaya Assam University also paid homage, reflecting a shared sense of respect across generations.

Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pant recalled Netaji’s indomitable courage and deep patriotism. He said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose continues to be an eternal source of inspiration for the nation, and that his unwavering bravery and dedication to national service remain the driving force behind the country’s progress.

The programme also featured speeches highlighting Netaji’s life and struggles by Dr. R. P. Singh, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya; Prof. Anup Kumar Dey, Dean of Students’ Welfare; Prof. M. Gangabhushan, NSS Programme Coordinator; Prof. Krishna Mohan Jha; and Dr. Javed Rahmani, among others. Their addresses emphasized Netaji’s leadership qualities, sacrifice, and the contemporary relevance of his ideals in modern India.

Adding a cultural dimension to the tribute, students of the Performing Arts Department of Assam University presented soulful musical performances. Their emotionally charged renditions left a lasting impression on the audience, enriching the commemorative event.
