Election Observers convene key review meeting in Silchar 

way2barak, October 26: In an assertive step towards ensuring a peaceful and transparent bye-election for the Dholai Assembly Constituency, a  review meeting was convened on Saturday at the new conference hall of the DC’S office in Silchar. The high-level session was led by esteemed Election Observers, including General Observer M. Vijayalakshmi, Police Observer Pakela Cephas Kalyan, and Expenditure Observer, Chanchal Kumar Tiwari.
The meeting centered on strict adherence to the guidelines set forth by the Election Commission of India, emphasizing a seamless and fair polling process. In alignment with ECI’s mandate for a free and impartial election environment, the Observers directed officials to diligently implement protocols that uphold election integrity and transparency.
Cachar District Commissioner, Mridul Yadav, accompanied by senior officials such as Pranab Kumar Borah, Chief Executive Officer of Cachar Zilla Parishad, and Norsing Bey, District Development Commissioner, played an active role in the session. The gathering also included Additional District Commissioners, the Election Officer, and dedicated Assisting Officers from various Election Cells, demonstrating a unified commitment to upholding the principles of democratic governance.
