Explosion at Kashipur due to experiment on battery, injured 2

way2barak, Oct 18: Today at about 8.30 pm information was received that an explosion has occurred at Kashipur Part -2 village under Silchar PS at the lawn of the residence of one Rabindra Debnath (60 yrs) which injured his son Bibekananda Debnath(18 ) and one Salim Uddin Laskar(65). On receipt of the information Police team rushed to the spot to investigate the matter. The injured persons were sent to SMCH for treatment. SP says, “I also arrived at the place of occurrence for investigation . From the preliminary enquiry it has come to light that Rabindra Deb Nath is a marginal scrap dealer and uses his dilapidated house to store the scraps materials . His sons were experimenting with one 6 Volt battery which suddenly exploded. No trace of any explosive material has been noticed at the scene of crime.”

However few items including the soil from the PO has been collected for examination. The injured persons are out of danger and undergoing treatment.Situation has been normal and under sharp watch.
