DDC meeting : directives to enhance performances and meet targets

way2barak, 7 Oct : In a decisive step towards accelerating Cachar’s growth,  Mridul Yadav,  District Commissioner of Cachar, chaired his first District Development Committee (DDC) meeting after assuming office. The meeting was structured into four thematic sessions, each focusing on critical areas to uplift the district’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across various sectors.

DC Yadav outlined a clear vision for Cachar’s development, emphasizing his commitment to fostering growth and inclusivity. The first session, centered on Human Development, saw discussions on improving healthcare, enhancing social welfare programs, and boosting education. The DC highlighted the need for better maternal healthcare, effective child development programs, and reducing school dropout rates by addressing teacher availability issues.
The second theme, Rural Economy, focused on enhancing agricultural productivity for the upcoming Rabi season, promoting sustainable fishing practices, and empowering the youth through skill development initiatives. Shri Yadav reiterated that the prosperity of rural areas is crucial for the district’s overall progress.
In the Infrastructure session, DC Yadav stressed the need for strong infrastructure to drive growth. Departments like PWD, APDCL and PHE were tasked with improving road connectivity, ensuring consistent power supply, and enhancing water supply schemes through better coordination.
The final session focused on Public Service Delivery. DC Yadav underscored the importance of leveraging technology to streamline services like e-District, Sewa Setu, and Revenue services, ensuring that government schemes reach every resident in a timely and transparent manner.
The meeting concluded with clear directives for all department heads to enhance their performances and meet targets, with a focus on data-driven improvements in KPIs. DC Yadav’s leadership aims to bring new momentum to Cachar’s development, fostering growth across all sectors.
The meeting was also attended by district development commissioner, Norsing Bey, CEO Zilla Parishad Dhruba Jyoti Hazarika and officials from the various government departments.
