14 teachers of Silchar NIT are in the global list of top 2 per cent scientists

way2barak, 21 Sept : The 2024 list of the top 2% scientists globally, published by Elsevier and Stanford University, has recognized 14 distinguished faculty members from NIT Silchar for their impactful research contributions. This prestigious ranking is based on rigorous criteria such as citation metrics, h-index, and overall research output.

The honored faculty members include Prof. Md Ahmaruzzaman and Dr. Samuel Lalthazuala Rokhum from the Department of Chemistry, Prof. Lalit C. Saikia, Prof. Nidul Sinha, and Prof. Dulal Chandra Das from the Department of Electrical Engineering, and Prof. Rajat Gupta (Retd.), Prof. K. M. Pandey (Retd.), Dr. Sukumar Pati, Dr. Sudip Dey, Dr. Saikat Ranjan Maity, Dr. Gautam Choubey, and Dr. Vinayas Mahesh from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, Dr. Rajesh Saha and Dr. Puspa Devi Pukhrambam from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering have been recognized.
