GCC participated in Special Lecture Programme through online

way2barak, 22 Sept : A special lecture programme has been organised by the department of Zoology, Gauhati University, Guwahati on Friday through online platform. This lecture programme is on Reproductive Biology by Prof. Stuart R Milligan of Kings College, London, UK.The department of Zoology, Gurucharan College, Silchar has participated in the said programme from its conference hall. All the faculty members and the honours students of the department of Zoology have attended this special lecture programme. The lecture programme was initiated by Prof Jogen Chandra Kalita of Gauhati University. The lecture by Prof Milligan was very lucid with contemporary research and recent understandings. Special emphasis was made on the Kisspeptin secreting neurons and its role in controlling reproductive physiology.The participants were really enriched attending this special lecture session. Faculty members present are Dr Nilendu Dhar (HOD), Dr Seba Roy, Dr Debipreeta Dutta, Mr Bijoy Brahma, Ms Nazrana Sultana Begum, Dr Swarnali Bhattacharjee and Ms Chandramita Boro.
