Silchar youth behind the book ‘The Immortal Saga- India’s Struggle for Freedom’ launched by PM Modi

way2barak, Nov.1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on last Wednesday launched the book, “The Immortal Saga- India’s Struggle for Freedom”. The book was brought out by the Eenadu group on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav lauding heroes of our freedom struggle. PM Modi greatly appreciated Eenadu’s efforts and said that at a time when India is marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, such efforts are the need of the hour. Present during the occasion were Ch. Kiron, the MD of Eenadu, Ch. Sailaja, the MD of Margadarsi chit funds, and Ch. Vijayeswari, the MD of Ramoji Film City.
The book launched by our Prime Minister has also got a Silchar connection. Kishalay Dutta, a youth from Silchar, who is an alumni of the Department of Fine Arts (in 1999-2001), Assam University works at present as the AGM, Ramoji Film City, India, the group behind the publication of the book. Kishalay Dutta was the Head of concept which published the book “The Immortal Saga- India’s Struggle for Freedom”.
Kishalay Dutta initially worked with Essel Group as its Creative Head from 2012- 2020. During that time, he worked on design and implementation of Bird Park project, Indoor Kids Play Area etc. He then worked with the Statue of Unity Project 2021 (Statue of Sardar Patel) in Gujarat. He was also a part of the Narmada Aarti Project. From January 2022, Kishalay Dutta is working as the AGM of Ramoji Film City.
The Prime Minister while unveiling the book added that there are heroes of the freedom movement in every part of India but not much has been done to highlight these unsung heroes. In this context, the effort of the Eenadu group in publishing this book is outstanding.
