All wastes at immersion ghat at Sadarghat cleared at the instruction of Chief Minister

way2barak, Oct.8: As per the instructions of Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, the District Administration, Cachar have cleared the wastes along with the immersed idols from Sadarghat, which was used as Visarjan Ghat where Durga Puja committees immersed idols from Wednesday till Friday.

It needs mention here that this year, 3 days were earmarked for immersion of Durga Idols at Sadarghat, Silchar. It’s a normal phenomenon after the idol immersion that huge quantity of wastes are disposed by the various puja committees at the immersion ghat, which generally stays there for quite a long time. However, this year, due to the direction of the Chief Minister, the district administration worked on a war-footing and cleared the wastes.
