Man builds temple of CM Yogi Agidyanath at Ayodhya, worship his God-like idol

way2arak, Sept.19: It’s probably the height of devotion exhibited towards any political leader. A man has built a temple dedicated to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Ayodhya. The man identified as Prabhakar Maurya resides 15 km from Ram Janmabhoomi of Ayodhya. An idol of the chief minister – portraying him as an incarnation of Lord Ram – is being worshipped by this ardent devotee.

The temple which is called ‘Yogi Mandir’ has a life-size idol of Yogi Adityanath inside. The statue is dressed in saffron robes and has a bow and arrow as well. Maurya, a devout follower of Yogi Adityanath offers special prayers twice every day, followed by morning and evening prayers, in the temple before the chief minister’s idol. Bhajans praising the chief minister are sung during aarti. Audio and video cassettes of the bhajans are being prepared to promote the place. After the prayers, ‘prasad’ is also distributed to worshippers.

Maurya said that the temple is a witness to the fulfillment of Maurya’s resolve – that he will build a temple in the name of the person who builds a temple for Lord Ram in Ayodhya. The construction of the temple cost nearly ₹ 8.5 lakh. The Yogi Adityanath idol was custom-ordered from Rajasthan.
