Earthquake measuring 4.9 strikes Northeast including Barak Valley at 3.18 AM on 25 August

Aug. 25: : An earthquake measuring 4.9 (status reviewed) on the Richter scale, jolted Northeast India including several parts of Assam and its adjoining areas at 3.18 AM on 25 August. As per National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was stated, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.9, occurred on 25-08-2022, 3.18:11 IST, Lat: 26.764 & Long: 94.612, Depth: 99.9 Km ,Location: 25 km ENE of Mawlaik, Myanmar..” The earthquake lasted for just a few seconds. However, there were no report of any casualties till the filing of this report.
