116 found Covid +ve in Assam on Monday, 1 death & active cases 2,960 in the state

Aug 22: On Monday, out of 4,359 tests, 116 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,43,677. The positivity rate in the state is 2.66 percent. Out of the 116 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Kamrup Metro (25), Sonitpur (09), Dibrugarh (08), Kamrup Rural (08) and Lakhimpur (06).

Further, on Monday, 01 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Hojai. The death toll in the state stands at 6,670. The recovery rate is 98.52 percent. 182 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,32,688 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 2,960 active Covid patients in the state. On Sunday, 22 persons were detected Covid-19 positive in Assam.
