113 found Covid +ve in Assam on Sunday, 1 death & active cases 5,527 in the state

July 24: On Sunday, out of 1,098 tests, 113 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,34,861. The positivity rate in the state is 10.29. percent. Out of the 113 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Cachar (36), Kamrup Metro (18), Dima Hasao (10), Dibrugarh (08) and Biswanath (06). Further, on Sunday, 01 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Golaghat. The death toll in the state stands at 6,662. The recovery rate is 98.16 percent. 692 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,21,320 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 5,527 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Saturday, 736 persons tested positive in Assam and 01 death was registered.
