Mizoram Presbyterian Church donate Rs.8 lakh for the flood victims of Cachar

June 29: The Moderator of Mizoram Presbyterian Church, Rev. Dr. Vanlalnghaka Ralte and the Secretary Senior, Rev. Z.D. Lalhmachhuana on Tuesday came from Aizawl to Silchar to meet the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Keerthi Jalli and handed over a cheque of Rs. 8,00,000 towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the helpless victims of the recent flood.

Mr. Ramchhanngama, Mr. Tuhin Ghose and Mr. Lalbiaknunga of Barak Area Presbyterian Church were also present during the occasion. Mr. Tuhin Ghose informed that the churches in Mizoram have also stretched out their helping hand by donating generously for the flood victims of Barak Valley. Presently around 700 flood victims have been provided shelter in Oriental High School and elsewhere inside Presbyterian Mission Compound situated at Jail Road, Silchar.
