Power supply in many areas of Silchar to be temporarily disconnected as a safety measure: APDCL

May 18: Power supply to areas under Malugram, Ithkola, Karatigram, Rongpur, Shantipara, Madhurbond and Berenga will be temporarily disconnected now due to severe rise in water level and to avoid any accident. This was informed by AGM of APDCL Silchar Electrical Division-1.

As the water of river Barak is increasing, many areas in Cachar are inundated. It is in this backdrop that Deputy Commissioner, Kerthi Jalli made a fervent appeal to the people to stay indoors.
