NSS unit of BVEC celebrates International Yoga Day along with Niramay school of Yoga

May 16: The NSS unit of “Barak Valley Engineering College” along with Niramay School of Yoga started the 3-days ‘yoga day celebration’ on 14 May, 2022 at Barak Valley college Engineering College. The programme began with a welcome speech by one of the NSS volunteers, which was followed by the felicitation of guests and instructor of Niramay school of Yoga, Rahul Chakraborty.

The inaugural session also witnessed a brief description of Yoga by one of the NSS volunteers followed by a song performed by students of TDC 2nd semester. Programme Officer of NSS, Dr Ruhul Amin Reza in his speech highlighted the importance of Yoga and urged upon the students to practice yoga regularly so that one can remain physically and mentally fit.

A total of 40 students enlisted themselves in the Yoga camp. Instructor  Rahul Chakraborty demonstrated various postures of breathing exercises. He stressed upon the fact that regular performance of yoga helps to keep our body relaxed.

Some of the faculty members like Faruk Ahmed and Abhijit Das actively participated to make the event a success. NSS volunteers Debanjan Das, Ashraf Ahmed, Madhujya, Pratim Nath and Rajib Sutradhar played a special role in the yoga session.
