Movement of vehicular traffic prohibited over old Sadarghat bridge

May 16: Due to sudden occurrence of damage of the of 2nd expansion joint from Rongpur side of the RCC Bridge at Sadarghat (Old Sadarghat Bridge) on NH-53 (Silchar Badarpur section), the movement of all types vehicular traffic over the aforesaid bridge will remain suspended from 19 May. However, as of now, the movement of heavy vehicles were prohibited over the old bridge and light vehicles were allowed to move. But from 19 May, movement of all sorts of vehicles has been restricted over the old Sadarghat Bridge.
