SBI warns customers not to pick up phone calls from 2 numbers

April 21: State Bank of India (SBI) issued warning to its customers about frauds. Issuing a warning to its customers, SBI stated that many are getting calls from two suspicious numbers, 8294710946 and 7362951973. The customers were asked not to pick up calls made from these two numbers.

SBI tweeted, “Do not engage with these numbers, & don’t click on #phishing links…as they aren’t associated with SBI.” Customers getting calls from the numbers are being asked to click on a phishing link for KYC update. SBI stated that frauds call customers from these two numbers and then in the name of collection of KYC often siphon off their money from their accounts.

Earlier, on Wednesday, CID Assam also issued a similar warning to the SBI consumers. CID Assam wrote, “SBI Customers are getting calls from two nos. -+91-8294710946 & +91-7362951973 asking them to click on a phishing link for KYC update. Requesting all SBI customers not to click on any such phishing/suspicious link.”
