Load shedding likely in Silchar due to defect in main feeder: APDCL ESD-II

April 10: The heavy showers along with wind has damaged the Srikona Meherpur feeder, which is the main source of power in Silchar. As such, there are chances of load shedding in Silchar. This was informed in its social media page by APDCL, ESD-II on Sunday night.

Taking to its social media page, APDCL ESD-II wrote, “33 kV Srikona Meherpur feeder, which is the primary power source of Silchar ESD-II has been declared faulty after the heavy rain & wind. As of now, the other two sources are operating, but there is load constraints and as a result we might have to do some load shedding. Inconvenience is sincerely regretted.”
