Jugasankha Sahitya Award 2022 conferred upon eminent littérateur & journalist Atin Das

March 23: The 12th Jugasankha Sahitya Award 2022 was conferred upon eminent poet, littérateur & journalist Atin Das. He is also the President of Bangla Sahitya Sabha, Asom. On Wednesday, the award was handed over to Atin Das during a programme held at Gandhi Bhawan. The said programme was organised to commemorate the 115th birth anniversary of Baidyanath Nath, the founder Editor of Jugasankha newspaper.

The Chief Guest of the occasion was Vice President of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Dr Dinanath Basumatary, whereas former Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Prof Tapodhir Bhattacharjee was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Basumatary and Prof Bhattacharjee handed over the Jugasankha Sahitya Award 2022 to Atin Das in the presence of Bijoy Krishna Nath, Chairman of Dainik Jugasankha Group and Director Nilaksha Choudhury.

Further, Deb Dulal Malakar was honoured with Jugasankha Journalist Award, 2022. A colourful cultural programme was also held during the occasion.
