None found positive in Cachar on Friday

March 18: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 2.10 PM. As per the latest data, no person was found positive in the district on 18 March. The number of active cases in Cachar has reached 02. It needs mention here that 01 was found positive on Thursday. The death toll in Cachar due to Covid has reached 36 this year.

As per the updated data, a total of 03 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, no persons were found positive, whereas no one was detected positive out of 38 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 Jan 2022 reached 6,420 whereas during this phase, 6,382 patients were discharged. Finally, there exists no active Covid-19 cases at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). The last 24 hours (5 PM on 17 March to 5 PM on 18 March) also did not witness the death any Covid-19 positive patient at SMCH. None were further detected positive during the day. This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.
