Last rites of deceased businessman Mridul Roy performed in Silchar

Jan. 16: In a tragic incident, Mridul Roy (Guddu), a resident of Ambicapatty, Silchar breathed his last at Apollo Hospital, Kolkata at a young age of 48. He was suffering from liver related problems. Everything was ready for his liver transplant, but before that he passed away on Thursday night. His body was, however, brought to Silchar on Saturday, where the last rites were performed.

Mridul Roy was involved in business for quite a long time and was one of the proprietors of MK Associates. Known for his jovial nature, his untimely demise was mourned by all his kith and kin. Mridul is survived by his father Mrinal Kanti Roy, retired Executive Engineer of PHE, mother Ashoka Roy, alsoan employee of the same department, wife Taruna Roy, daughter Shristi (16) and son Rajbir (12).
