DLC meeting held in Cachar as regards implementation of free uniform scheme

Sept. 24: The first District Level Committee meeting was held in the conference hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar regarding implementation of Free Uniform (Secondary Level) scheme. The meeting was chaired by DC Keerthi Jalli.

During the meeting, the house decided that at any cost the quality of the students uniform will not be compromised. It was also decided that applications will be called from intending parties/ vendors who are interested to supply uniform to the students have to submit cloths sample and other required documents for quality checking by the District Level Committee (DLC) where Department of Handloom and Textile will be called for to accord final approval on the quality of the clothes submitted by the parties/ vendors.

After approval of the DLC, the final list of approved vendors will be published and accordingly the SMDC’s will call for quotation. Only the approved parties/ vendors selected by DLC will be eligible to submit the quotation.
