With 12 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 23 on 1 Sept

Sept 1: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 11.20 PM. As per the latest data, 11 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 23 persons were found positive in the district on 31 August. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 11 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 113. This was informed by District Media Expert on Wednesday night. Also, 11 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 19 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 3,380 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 09 persons were found positive, whereas 14 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,741 whereas during this phase, 19,433 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 113 active patients:

05 at MH
09 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
08 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
08 at CRPF Doyapur
05 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
00 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
06 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
02 Palonghat Model Hospital
46 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 31 August to 5 PM on 1 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 1 September, there were 25 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 03 patients were put under ventilator support and 17 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
