31 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Tuesday, 63 discharged

Active cases 374 in Cachar on 13 July

July 13:  A total of 31 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Tuesday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 2,764 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 31 were found positive, whereas till 6 PM, the RT-PCR test reports were not made available. Also, 63 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged during the day. At present, there are 374 active Covid-19 cases in the district. It needs mention here that 78 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Monday.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 12 July to 5 PM on 13 July) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 13 July, there were 93 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 56 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 37 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 13 patients were put under ventilator support and 69 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 12 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 13 of them were discharged.
