9,717 still affected due to flood at 8 villages in Cachar; 1 die at Katigorah on Wednesday

July 20: As per the daily flood report issued by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) of Cachar till 4 PM on 20 July, it was informed that at present, 9,716 persons were still flood- affected at 8 villages in Cachar district. Out of the 9,716 flood affected, 3,126 are at Katigorah and 6,591 in Silchar.

The daily flood report further mentioned that at present, 788 flood victims were still residing at 3 relief centres in Silchar. DDMA Cachar further informed that during the day, one person lost life due to flood at Katigorah constituency of Cachar.
