90 years old Tarun Gogoi should now read Bhagavad Gita & do Kirtan
August 18: Tarun Gogoi is now 90 years of age. He should refrain from making any comment on political matters. Mr. Gogoi should now read Bhagavad Gita, Vedas and do kirtan at home instead of taking the name and thinking about Badaruddin Ajmal. This was commented by State Cabinet Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a press briefing at Guwahati on Tuesday.
While replying to a query of a journalist, Himanta Biswa said that Tarun Gogoi has lost his relevance in present day politics. He said, “None will listen to Gogoi any more. He is a senior person. Had I been in Congress, I would have kept him in a high pedestal and sought his blessings. In 2021, I too have no anger upon him. Whenever, I meet him, I try to seek his blessings. I had political war against him in last election in 2016, but now everything is neutralized as Tarun Gogoi will have no relevance in 2021 assembly elections.”
Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Tarun Gogoi should now following Indian culture and tradition and should devote himself in religious activities and think no more about politics and Ajmal. He even asked the journalists not to excite 90-year-old Gogoi with political questions as because he gets excited too often and so any mishap may happen to him.
