9 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Monday

Sept 20: A total of 09 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 5 PM on Monday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 3,073 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 09 persons were found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 05 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Sunday.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 19 September to 5 PM on 20 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 20 September, there were 15 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patients were put under ventilator support but 03 were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
