89 new cases including 10 in Cachar, total crosses 1000 in Assam

May 29: In a scary note, 89 new COVID-19 cases were reported from Assam. This is the biggest one-time single day detection of coronavirus cases in Assam. With this, the total number of cases in Assam has exceeded 1000 and has gone upto 1024. At present, there are 892 active cases in the state. Till the filing of this report at 9.50 PM on Friday, 144 new cases were detected during the day. The following is the break-up of the 89 COVID-19 positive cases detected on Friday night:
- 30 Kamrup
- 17 Tinsukia
- 14 Guwahati
- 14 Dhubri
- 10 Cachar
- 4 Dhemaji
