83 children took part in 2-day karate camp organised by Cachar District Karate Association

Dec. 26: A 2-day karate training camp was recently concluded at the indoor stadium of DSA, Silchar. The competition was organised by Cachar District Karate Association under the aegis of District Sports Association (DSA), Silchar. A total of 83 children took part in the 2-day karate training camp, out of which 6 were from Karimganj district.

On the concluding day of the karate training camp, Additional Police Super Siddhartha Nahar was present as the guest of honour. The chief coach of the event, Sihan Samir Das was felicitated by DSA, Silchar during the occasion. Apart from the chief coach, the two other local coaches, Sihan Biswajit Sarkar and Sensai Mithilesh Thakur were also felicitated.

At the end of the 2-day camp, the participants under the guidance of Biswajit Sarkar also exhibited the skills acquired by them. Present during the concluding ceremony were President of Silchar DSA Babul Hore, General Secretary Bijendra Prasad Singh among others.
