৭ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজে সোমবার মোট ৭ জন কোভিডে আক্রান্ত হয়ে প্রাণ হারিয়েছেন। আরও একজন মারা গিয়েছেন গ্রিন হিলস হাসপাতালে৷

মোট ৮ জনের মধ্যে কাছাড় জেলার ৭ জন। করিমগঞ্জের ১ জন। ডেথ অডিট বোর্ড একমাত্র করিমগঞ্জের ভূপেন্দ্রমোহন দাসকেই কোভিডে মারা গিয়েছেন বলে ঘোষণা করেছে। সুতারকান্দির ৮০ বছর বয়সী ভূপেন্দ্রবাবুকে গত ৩ সেপ্টেম্বর শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজে আনা হয়েছিল। মারা যান সোমবার সকাল সাড়ে ৯টায়।

শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজের উপাধ্যক্ষ ডা. ভাস্কর গুপ্ত জানিয়েছেন, কাছাড় জেলার সকলের করোনা হয়েছিল বটে, কিন্তু তাঁরা অন্যান্য রোগেও ভুগছিলেন।  তাঁরা হলেনঃ

এক. অসীম দত্ত, ৬৩ বছর, লিংক রোড। তিনি কিডনি, ডায়াবেটিস ও হার্টের সমস্যায় ভুগছিলেন। শনিবার ৪টা ২৭ মিনিটে ভর্তি হয়েছিলেন। প্রাণ হারান সোমবার সকাল ৭টা ১২ মিনিটে।

দুই. চিত্তরঞ্জন সূত্রধর, ৮০ বছর, মেহেরপুর। রবিবার দুপুর ১২টা ৫০ মিনিটে ভর্তি হন। মারা যান সোমবার ৬টা ৫ মিনিটে।

তিন. হোসেন আহমদ লস্কর, ৪৪ বছর, খাকরারপার। তিনি প্রথমে গ্রিন হিলসে চিকিৎসাধীন ছিলেন। রবিবার সন্ধ্যায় আচমকা হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হলে তাঁকে মেডিক্যালে পাঠানো হয়েছিল। রাতেই তিনি শেষনিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন।

চার. কুলেন্দ্রকুমার রায়, ৬৫ বছর, শ্রীকোণা। ভর্তি হয়েছিলেন রবিবার দুপুর ১২টা ৪৭ মিনিটে, প্রয়াত সোমবার দুপুর ১২টা ২০ মিনিটে।

পাঁচ. মুন্না মালাকার, ৩৩ বছর, কাটিগড়া। এই মহিলাকে ২৮ আগস্ট শিলচর মেডিক্যালে আনা হয়। তিনি মূলত এনকেফেলাইটিসে ভুগছিলেন।

ছয়. নরেশ রায়, ৭০ বছর, উধারবন্দ। ৩১ আগস্ট মেডিক্যালে ভর্তি হয়েছিলেন। মারা গেলেন সোমবার সকাল সাড়ে ৯টায়।

সাত. রাজা দাশগুপ্ত, ৬৪ বছর, অম্বিকাপট্টি৷ তিনি সোমবার রাতে গ্রিনহিলস হাসপাতালের কোভিড ওয়ার্ডে প্রয়াত হয়েছেন৷

Sept. 7: The coronavirus pandemic has now led to a procession of death also in Barak Valley. Since the last few days, the valley witnessed many deaths, although all of them were not certified as COVID-19 deaths. However, this also cannot be ruled out that all of them were infected with coronavirus. Those COVID positive persons who die due to comorbidities are usually not certified as ‘Covid-19’ death by the audit board.

On Monday, Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) informed that in the last 24 hours, the Valley witnessed 7 more deaths at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). Another death from Cachar was reported at Green Heals Hospital, Silchar. Out of the 8 deceased, 7 are from Cachar & 1 is from Karimganj district. The 8 deceased were identified as:

• Ashim Dutta (63) from Link Road, Silchar got admitted in SMCH at 4.27 PM on 5 September. He, however, breathed his last at 7.22 AM on 7 September. His death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Chittaranjan Sutradhar (80) from Meherpur was admitted in SMCH at 12.05 PM on 6 September. He also died at 6.05 AM on 7 September. His death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Munna Malakar (33) from Katigorah was admitted in SMCH at 3.59 PM on 28 August. She breathed her last at 5.30 AM on 7 September. Her death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Naresh Roy (70) from Udharbond was admitted in SMCH at 3 PM on 31 August. He died at 9.30 on 7 September. His death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Kulesh Chandra Roy (65) from Srikona was admitted in SMCH at 12.47 PM o 6 September. He, however, breathed his last at 12.40 PM on 7 September. His death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Hussain Ahmed Laskar (44) from, Khakbarparin Cachar was admitted in SMCH at 6.16 PM on 6 September. He died at 9.35 PM on the same day. His death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Raja Das Gupta (64) from Ambicapatty, Silchar was admitted at Green Heals Hospital, Silchar at 4 PM on 31 August. He died in the evening on 7 September. His death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Bhupendra Mohan Das (80) from Sutarkandi in Karimganj was admitted in SMCH at 10 AM on 3 September. He died at 1.30 AM on 7 September. His death was certified as Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
