8 found Covid +ve in Cachar on 24 November

Active cases 24 in Cachar, 4 discharged

Nov. 24: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 10.40 PM. As per the latest data, 08 persons were found positive in the district on 24 November. Also, 04 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 24 (18 in Home isolation & 06 in hospitals). It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 02 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,478 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 02 persons were found positive, whereas 06 more were detected positive out of 495 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,390 whereas during this phase, 20,150 patients were discharged.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 23 November to 5 PM on 24 November) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 24 November, there were 07 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 01 was in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 04 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
